In the growing times of insecurity, it has become the need of the hour for women to receive self-defense training. To face any situation with courage, self-confidence, presence of mind, awareness, as well as physical strength and agility are extremely important. All these qualities can be effectively developed through women’s self-defense training camps.
With this thought, a two-day Women’s Self-Defense Camp was organized under CSR through the joint initiative of Avlock International India Private Limited and Durgveer Pratishthan.
This camp was conducted enthusiastically at Smt. Sushila Kashinath Bhate Secondary School, Borwadi, run by Mangad Parisar Shikshan Prasarak Mandal. To provide basic and practical self-defense training to the school girls, trainers Sahil M. Bahutale, Yash M. Mandavkar, Rohit V. Khade, Vaishnavi M. Vanjare, Payal M. Bahutale, Palak R. Chaube, and Purnima J. Bhattacharya provided valuable training under the guidance of Sachin Baikar Sir (Special Commando) from Baikar Academy. Similarly, valuable support was received from the school principal Gaikwad Madam, teachers, and non-teaching staff.
Through this camp, confidence, courage, and awareness about personal safety were developed among the girls. From the perspective of building strong and fearless women in society, this camp proved to be an important step.
